Wonderful Experience. Did not wait long for a table. Hostess was prompt and courteous. Waitress, Tracy, was attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. Food was the best we've had in a while. Was really craving Italian and this hit the spot.

Been going here for many years. Not in the best location but food is always consistent. You can't beat the drink prices and the place always works up a decent crowd. Nice to have big portions and leftovers when coming here. Never had a bad meal

My parents use to take me here many years ago. We happened to be going through Waterbury so I figured I'd take my kids and their cousin. I also assumed it would be different.. I was so wrong. The atmosphere is that same old school inner city italian feel. The menu has many options but specific to italian good food. My son ordered pasta with scallops and seafood, their cousin ordered lasagna, my daughter got spaghetti and meatball and I got chicken cutlet with rosemary and garlic over angel hair pasta. The portions were unreal! The bread was delicious and the desserts amazing. I highly recommend the cannoli, the shell was the perfect crunch with the light fluffy filling I have some pictures but we were so hungry the plates are partially eaten. If you love italian you gotta go ere! Amazing and had appetiser, full meals, dessert and soda and our bill was under $150 and we have lunch tomorrow. Not too mention salad with the best blue cheese dressing

Food was excellent. You can tell the quality of an Italian restaurant by the chicken Parmesan. Service was very good though a bit long between checkins but not really an impactful flaw. Large room that may get a bit noisy when really crowded but the overall ambiance was good with a family dining atmosphere.

My parents and I stumbled upon San Marino while searching for Italian eateries near Library Park, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! Although the location is a bit hidden, it is definitely worth seeking out. Our waitress, Alyssa, was exceptional--her warm hospitality and genuine interest in our travels from Westchester County, NY, made us feel incredibly welcome. The burrata appetizer was divine--creamy and perfectly seasoned. For my main course, I enjoyed the salmon with broccoli rabe, which was beautifully cooked and bursting with flavor. The menu also boasts intriguing options like baccala and rabbit, showcasing the restaurant's unique offerings. Despite the overcast day, the place was lively and full, a testament to its popularity. The portions were generous, and the clean bathrooms and well-appointed private party room added to the overall positive experience. With its relaxed vibe and delicious Italian comfort food, San Marino has earned a spot on my list for a return visit!

I don't know if it's just me but there's something about a fresh bowl of pasta that makes me crave a top-notch martini. At San Marino I was able to satisfy both of those cravings. This Italian restaurant has evolved and has been serving the community of Waterbury for 50 years. They feature a menu of perfectly executed dishes that are rich with tradition. My cocktail was swiftly shaken, poured in front of me, and delicious. The bartender didn't waste a drop and filled the glass to the very top. The glassware was standard with a thick stem. The u-shaped bar was comfortable and a perfect spot to watch family and friends come together around great food. I counted at least 3 birthday celebrations during my experience and you could tell there is a loyal neighborhood following. The olives were definitely less salty than others but provided a mild and vinegary flavor. When it comes to the food, I will be dreaming about their homemade pasta and sausage for days to come. In addition, their fresh and handmade sauce was so good that I could have enjoyed it with a bowl and spoon. This spot is worth a visit or many!

We go to San Marino's every year for our Christmas party. We went recently and even though it was very busy as usual it was a nice time and they got to us as often as they could. The food is good, the ravioli was cheesy and perfect, you can't go wrong with cheese to me so I added even more haha! I wasn't a huge fan of the penne vodka but to me it has to hit just right. They have so many other options that are good so it's still nice atmosphere and the others were tasty it gets top rating this round.

This place was very spacious and clearly built to accommodate large parties; many different table sizes and combinations available upon request! Our server Tracy was wonderful and extremely easy to talk to and ask questions- she even recommended drinks for someone who was celebrating a (21st) birthday in our party! Huge filling portions! (They pack the leftovers for you!) Kind faces and lots of smiles!
